The 2016 edition of GOCarbonFibre brought together the greatest minds and most influential business leaders in the carbon fibre market and as the only conference 100% focussed on carbon fibre, provided all the latest knowledge and information on the industry, given to the carbon fibre community directly from senior figures from across the world.

The hugely popular 2017 GOCarbonFibre conference will again unite the carbon fibre and composites supply chain for 2 days of exciting technical presentations.

Opening on 11 October with a session on Emerging Markets and Outlook for the Future, CarbConsult and Future Materials Group will present in turn on the market landscape, trends and future investments, and mergers and acquisitions.

Other dynamic sessions include:

  • Emerging Technologies and New Developments with presentations from Harper International, Michelman, Astris Carbon and SGL Group
  • Recycling and Re-use with presentations from Hochshule Niederrhein, TU Dresden, MAI Carbon Clustermanagement and Carbon Composites
  • OEM Applications, Material Challenges and Developments with presentations from Airbus, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, The Manufacturing Technology Centre and Mitsubishi Chemical Carbon Fiber and Composites

Site Visit: BMW Group Werk Landshut - SOLD OUT
Tuesday 10 October | 12:30-17:30

This site visit will give attendees an exciting look behind the scenes of automobile manufacturing. The guided plant tour gives guests access to all automobile production technologies including light metal foundry, CFRP, cockpit and equipment, plastics exterior, electric drives and special engines.

Workshop: How to design and build a carbon fibre line
Tuesday 10 October | 13:30 - 17:30

This is designed to furnish attendees with all the knowledge needed to decide if carbon fibre is for you. From precursor synthesis, through fibre production and curing, to building your line and managing the energy, materials and by-product flows, the specially selected line up of speakers have many years of combined experienced to share with you.

The workshop will be led by experts from Cygnet Texkimp, Harper Intl, Bluestar Fibres and more. Tickets are just €299 but places are limited so we advise booking as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
