Understanding the physical hazards that can cause failure in electronics

On June 24th, Smithers will host “Testing Considerations for Electronics and Electronic Components”, a comprehensive webinar that will discuss common failure modes for electronic components and considerations for optimizing your testing protocol.

This month, we continue our webinar series with Smithers Rapra NA Product Test Manager, Jeff Andrasik, presenting “Testing Considerations for Electronics and Electronic Components”. The webinar will speak to electronic manufacturers of the automotive, industrial and consumer products industries.

The webinar will cover:

  • Common failure modes under various conditions and applications
  • Common and industry standard test methods, specifically for the automotive industry
  • Test setup considerations and conditions in real-world examples
  • Increasing efficiency in product development and validation procedures by adding external testing to the mix

Register for this webinar.

“Consumers and automakers expect very high levels of performance and sophistication from electronic products,” said Nat Leonard, vice president and general manager at Smithers Rapra. “Our testing laboratories provide a full array of evaluations to industry and government standards, OEM specifications and custom protocols to ensure quality and help bring new products to market faster.”

In addition to test setup considerations, Andrasik will also review how external testing can add quantitative value to your product development cycle by significantly reducing the time to market. The Smithers Rapra Testing Cost Comparison Calculator is an interactive tool developed by Smithers to help developers and project managers assess the cost of external testing and how it can positively affect.

The webinar was hosted on Wednesday, June 24th at 11:00 am EST (4:00 GMT). Download the webinar here.
